Imposter
Imposter is a social deduction mission where one or two operatives are "de-synchronized" from the secret target. Everyone else knows the secret word, but the Imposter must observe the signals of others to blend in. It requires careful speech and sharp observation, because a clue that is too specific gives the game away instantly while a clue that is too vague makes you look like the anomaly yourself. That constant balancing act is what keeps rounds tense even after dozens of plays with the same group.
IMPOSTER
Rules of Engagement
- 01Everyone is assigned a role: Crewmate or Imposter.
- 02Crewmates receive a secret target word; the Imposter receives a system error.
- 03Each player provides a one-word clue about the target.
- 04After all clues are logged, the squad enters an interrogation phase.
- 05Operatives vote on who they believe is the anomaly.
Strategic Intelligence
- As a Crewmate, give clues that are specific enough for other Crewmates to recognize, but vague enough to confuse the Imposter.
- As the Imposter, listen to the first few clues carefully before providing your own signature.
- Watch for hesitation or clues that seem slightly "off" from the theme.
- As the Imposter, mirror the general category of previous clues rather than trying to invent something original from nothing.
Tactical Suitability
Designed for groups who love games like Mafia, Werewolf, or Spyfall. It is a fantastic icebreaker for new squads and scales well from a small game night up to a large party where several rounds can run back to back.
