Privacy Policy

Introduction
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what Game Night Central collects when you create an account, play games, use the shop, send feedback, open a support ticket, or use communication features on our website.
Age Requirement
Game Night Central is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. Do not use the service or create an account if you are under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Before you create an account, we ask for the month and year you were born. The answer stays in your browser and is not sent to us. If it shows you are under 13, that browser cannot create an account until you turn 13.
Information We Collect
Account information: We may collect your user ID, display name, email address, profile photo URL from your sign-in provider, authentication provider, account creation time, last-seen time, guest/account status, and account settings.
Gameplay and profile data: We store information needed to run the service, such as lobby participation, game activity, scores, progression, shop inventory, virtual currency balances, selected preset avatars or cosmetics, membership status, trial status, friends, blocks, and similar product data.
Messages, feedback, applications, and tickets: Players may submit text through direct messages, feedback forms, problem reports, contact forms, and tester applications, and may transmit live audio through voice chat as described below. Companies applying to advertise may additionally provide business contact details, HTTPS website and destination links, product information, requested dates, campaign notes, and a PNG, JPEG, or WebP advertising creative. Advertising applications and creatives remain private unless and until an administrator approves and schedules a campaign.
Session and device data: We may collect session records, device type, browser information, the website or link that referred you and the page you first arrived on, pages visited, timestamps, cookie consent choices, IP-derived country information, and similar log data. Where our analytics provider makes them available, we may also receive aggregated age range, gender, and interest categories, as described under Advertising and Cookies. These reach us as group statistics only and are not attached to your account.
Payment-related data: Purchases are processed by Paddle as our Merchant of Record. We may store transaction references, customer or subscription identifiers, membership status, purchased package or item information, and fulfillment records. We do not directly store full payment card details.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and maintain the website, games, lobbies, accounts, shop, and memberships;
- Save gameplay progress, virtual items, purchases, settings, and account preferences;
- Respond to support tickets, feedback, tester applications, and problem reports;
- Review advertising applications, communicate approval and payment status, schedule approved campaigns, and provide campaign performance reports;
- Monitor direct messages and reports for safety, abuse prevention, fraud prevention, and Terms of Use enforcement;
- Analyze usage and improve gameplay, performance, reliability, and product design;
- Send service-related messages, support replies, account notices, and product updates where permitted;
- Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the service.
Chat and Safety Review
Direct messages are stored for safety and product functionality. Automated systems, including AI-based tools, may scan messages to detect severe Terms of Use violations, including harassment, threats, grooming, or other abuse. Flagged, reported, or safety-relevant messages may be reviewed by human administrators.
Voice Chat
Voice chat is optional and off by default. It only runs in private rooms, it must be switched on by the room host, and you additionally have to press Join and grant your browser's microphone permission before any audio leaves your device. You can mute your microphone, deafen yourself, mute individual participants, adjust each participant's volume, or leave the call at any time, and you can revoke microphone access in your browser settings.
We do not record, store, or listen to voice chat. Audio is sent directly between participants' browsers using WebRTC and is not saved on our servers. Because nothing is recorded, we cannot review what was said in a voice call after the fact, which means voice conversations cannot be moderated the way text messages are. Report abusive behaviour using Report Player in the lobby, the in-app problem report, or the contact form, and use the mute and leave controls to remove yourself from a call. A player report records who was reported, who reported them, and which voice session it refers to - never any audio - so that repeat behaviour is visible to our team across separate reports.
Other participants may be able to see your IP address. A direct peer-to-peer connection exposes network addresses to the other people in the call. This is how WebRTC works in every browser-based voice service. When a direct connection cannot be established, audio is relayed through a third-party TURN server (Metered) instead; the relay passes audio through but does not store it.
We store only the technical signaling data needed to set up a call - connection descriptions and network candidates for the current session, which include network addresses - inside the room record. Only the two people forming a given connection can read it, it is deleted when the host ends the voice session, and it contains no audio.
Only speak in voice chat with people you are comfortable talking to. Do not share personal information over voice, and remember that any participant could record a call using software outside our control.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party services that may collect or process information under their own privacy policies:
- Firebase and Google Cloud: Authentication, database, hosting, analytics, cloud functions, and related infrastructure.
- Paddle: Payment processing, fraud prevention, tax handling, subscriptions, refunds, and buyer support. Paddle acts as Merchant of Record. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics: Site and gameplay analytics, subject to your cookie consent choices where required. We use Google Analytics Advertising Features, including Google Signals. Where you are signed in to a Google account that has Ads Personalisation enabled, Google may associate your visits to this site with that account and with your activity on other devices, and report aggregated age ranges, gender, and interest categories to us. We receive these only as aggregated statistics and never as information identifying you. You can review or turn this off at Google My Ad Center.
- Google AdSense: Advertising and ad measurement. We request advertising consent where required and may show non-personalized ads when personalized advertising consent is not granted.
- TinyAdz: Display ads inside our existing ad spaces for some guests and free accounts, loaded only after you accept advertising cookies. TinyAdz serves ads from its own domain and may record the page address, your browser's language and time zone, and on-page activity such as scrolling and clicks to measure ads and detect bots. Members never receive them. See TinyAdz for its own policies.
- Microsoft Clarity: Product analytics such as session replay and heatmap information, subject to your analytics consent choices where required.
- Skynet Technologies (All in One Accessibility): The accessibility toolbar. It loads from Skynet's servers only after you press the round accessibility button, so Skynet receives your IP address and browser details only then. Your browser then remembers that you use it and loads it on later visits.
- ipapi: IP-derived country lookup used to understand broad location context and support product, pricing, compliance, or analytics behavior.
- Metered: TURN relay servers used by voice chat when a direct connection between participants cannot be established. Audio passes through the relay and is not stored by us.
- AliExpress and other affiliate partners: Affiliate links may place tracking cookies after you click them so purchases can be attributed to our referral.
Advertising and Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage for sign-in, sessions, security, lobby functionality, preferences, and checkout behavior. Analytics and advertising cookies are controlled through our cookie consent banner where consent is required.
- Essential storage is required for core account, lobby, game, security, and checkout features.
- Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the service and improve it.
- Advertising cookies help Google AdSense and TinyAdz deliver and measure ads, and support the Google Analytics Advertising Features described below.
- You may withdraw consent by clearing your browser storage or reopening cookie settings where available.
Google Analytics Advertising Features and Google Signals. Google Analytics uses cookies and advertising identifiers to collect information about your visits. With Google Signals enabled, sessions from users who are signed in to Google with Ads Personalisation turned on may additionally be linked to that Google account, allowing Google to report aggregated demographics, interests, and cross-device activity to us. These reports are statistical and do not identify individual users to us. To opt out, use Google My Ad Center, decline analytics and advertising cookies in our banner, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Direct sponsorship measurement. For a GNC-served sponsored placement, we keep aggregate campaign impressions and clicks so we can operate the placement and report results to the advertiser. An impression requires the creative to be at least 50% visible for 500 milliseconds. The campaign report contains totals, dates, placement and payment status; it does not identify individual visitors. Any Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity event is sent only when that service is otherwise permitted by your consent settings.
If we serve users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland with Google advertising, Google may require a Google-certified consent management platform. Our cookie banner is intended to collect consent, but advertising compliance may also depend on Google AdSense and consent platform configuration outside this page.
Data Storage and Transfers
Our database and service infrastructure may store and process data in the United States. If you access Game Night Central from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
Your Choices and Requests
You may contact us to request help accessing, correcting, or deleting your account information, support tickets, or personal data where applicable. Some records may need to be retained for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, payment, tax, or legal reasons.
To make a privacy request, use our Contact page and include enough information for us to identify your account.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page unless a later effective date is stated.
