Horse Race
Horse Race hands every player in the lobby their own horse and one instruction: tap. Each tap surges your horse two lengths down the track, and the first to cross the finish line takes the race and 50 points. The catch is stamina.
Your horse holds 100 stamina, every tap burns 8, and it only trickles back at 5 per second, so hammering the button at empty ends one way: a stumble that freezes your horse mid-track for a long, humiliating moment while the field thunders past. Lanes re-sort live by position, stumbles flash for everyone to see, and the whole race is over in about a minute, which is exactly why groups run five in a row.
HORSE RACE
Rules of Engagement
- 01Every player gets their own horse in their own lane. The host starts the race.
- 02Tap or click to run: each tap moves your horse 2 lengths toward the finish at 100.
- 03Each tap costs 8 stamina from a pool of 100; stamina recovers at 5 per second.
- 04Tapping with too little stamina makes your horse stumble: it freezes for 1.5 seconds and restarts with only partial stamina.
- 05Lanes sort live by distance so the current standings are always visible, and stumbles are flagged for the whole lobby.
- 06First horse to reach 100 wins the race and earns 50 points. The host can launch a rematch immediately.
Strategic Intelligence
- Find the rhythm, not the frenzy. A steady tap rate your stamina can sustain beats bursts that end in a stumble.
- Watch your stamina bar, not the other lanes. Almost every lost race is lost to a self-inflicted freeze.
- Bank stamina in the middle third, then spend down to near-zero only in the final sprint where a stumble costs less than losing.
- One stumble is recoverable; two is not. After a freeze, force yourself back to a slow rhythm before accelerating.
- On phones, alternate two thumbs for a smoother rate than one finger mashing.
Tactical Suitability
Built for parties and Discord calls that need sixty seconds of pure chaos between longer games. There is no learning curve at all, so it works instantly with kids, grandparents, and that one friend who refuses to read rules, while the stamina system gives competitive groups just enough skill to argue about.
