MODULE: BLINDSPOT

Blind Spot

Blind Spot is asymmetric information combat. Everyone shares the same live board of drifting orbs, but no two operatives see it the same way: each player is assigned a personal vision protocol such as tunnel vision, a blacked-out half of the board, heavy blur, stripped color, or a flickering feed, and the protocols rotate every round.

Orbs are worth 10, 20, or 35 points, with the smallest, fastest ones paying the most, and every orb's value decays the longer it sits unclaimed, so hesitation is expensive. Rounds last 60 seconds, orbs speed up as the mission escalates across 5 rounds, and the operative with the highest total is crowned the Visionary Victor.

Rules of Engagement

  • 01Every operative is dealt a personal vision protocol that distorts their view of the shared board, and protocols rotate each round.
  • 02Orbs spawn continuously and drift around the board. Click an orb to claim it before anyone else does.
  • 03Orbs come in three tiers: big 10-point orbs, medium 20-point orbs, and small 35-point orbs.
  • 04An orb's value decays the longer it goes unclaimed, down to a floor, so fresh spawns pay best.
  • 05Each round lasts 60 seconds and orbs move faster in later rounds.
  • 06After 5 rounds, the player with the highest total score wins.

Strategic Intelligence

  • Learn your protocol in the first seconds of each round and position your attention where you can actually see.
  • With tunnel vision, camp the center; with a blacked-out half, own your visible side completely.
  • Chase fresh spawns. A 35-point orb claimed late can pay less than a 10-point orb claimed instantly.
  • Small orbs are worth more but move fast; commit to the click instead of chasing the cursor behind them.
  • Track the round counter. Speeds climb every round, so bank points early before the board turns chaotic.

Tactical Suitability

For groups who want a fast, funny, genuinely unfair-feeling arcade scramble where everyone is handicapped differently. It works from 2 players up to a full lobby of 12, needs zero explanation beyond "click the orbs", and the rotating protocols keep rematches fresh because nobody keeps the same disadvantage twice.

Module FAQ

Technical Protocol Assistance

Yes, the orbs are identical for everyone. What differs is your personal vision protocol, which distorts how much of that board you can actually perceive.

Six: left or right half blacked out, tunnel vision, full grayscale, heavy blur, and a flickering signal. Your protocol rotates each round.

Orb values decay the longer the orb sits unclaimed, down to a minimum. Claim orbs soon after they spawn for full value.

Five rounds of 60 seconds each, so a complete mission runs about 5 to 10 minutes with recaps.
